The Exhibitions and Events Association of Australasia (EEAA) will host a business breakfast with NSW deputy premier, Andrew Stoner, as it seeks to further promote its message about the potential of exhibitions.
The breakfast event is “another tier” of the industry body’s The Power of Exhibitions campaign, chief executive Joyce DiMascio revealed.
As part of the push, EEAA has met with both federal and state politicians in recent months to demonstrate the economic impact of business undertaken at trade and consumer exhibitions.
The support of a cross-section of exhibitors, buyers, organisers and venues has also been enlisted to spread the word.
The next phase includes the launch of a new video at the breakfast which features advocates from companies, many of them household names, which rely on doing business through exhibitions.
“Our goal is to ramp up our advocacy work by delivering more powerful and compelling messages about the effectiveness of trade and consumer exhibitions,” DiMascio said.
“We’ll be taking these messages to government and also to the business community especially those involved in making decisions about where to invest their sales and marketing efforts.”
EEAA invited the business community to attend the event in order to grow the visibility of the campaign.
“We need to be working together to gather the evidence that demonstrates why we matter and why the work we ‘enable’ must be valued,” DiMascio urged.
The breakfast will take place on Tuesday August 13 at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre from 7.30 am, and is priced at $85 for members and $95 for non-members. To book, click here.
