Entire Travel Group is relaunching its Tahiti Travel specialist brand following the announcement that direct flights between Sydney and Papeete are set to return in December.
“This isn’t just a relaunch,” Entire Travel Group managing director Brad McDonnell said. “It’s a statement: Tahiti has a specialist again – and the trade has a partner they can trust.”
The new standalone Tahiti Travel brand – with its exclusive domain www.tahititravel.com.au – will be the only dedicated Tahiti specialist accredited by both ATIA and CATO and backed by the scale, financial strength and operational depth of Entire Travel Group.
McDonnell says work on the relaunch began several months ago, with the group taking the strategic decision to time its unveiling with Air Tahiti Nui’s announcement.
A major joint marketing campaign with Tahiti Tourisme and Air Tahiti Nui will launch next week, featuring exclusive discounts and a range of value-added inclusions to mark the long-awaited return of direct air access.
“Tahiti Travel is back,” McDonnell said. “But it’s not about nostalgia, it’s about leadership.
“With the return of direct flights – after a 13-year break – the destination needs a credible and secure specialist partner at the front of the market, and that’s exactly what Tahiti Travel is.”
Tahiti Travel was originally founded in 2007 as Tahiti Travel Connection. While the destination continued to perform strongly within Entire Travel Group following a strategic brand consolidation in 2019, McDonnell says the return of direct flights has created the ideal moment to once again give Tahiti a specialist platform.
Agents will now be directed to a dedicated Tahiti Travel hub within Entire Travel Group, strengthening the destination’s brand presence while preserving the efficiencies, systems and support of a larger wholesale group.
“We never stepped away from Tahiti – but now Tahiti steps forward again,” McDonnell said.
“Our team live and breathe French Polynesia. They know the resorts, the people and the culture, and with more than 50 collective years’ of experience selling Tahiti, they are uniquely placed to support Australian agents with confidence.”
The relaunch follows a recent week-long visit to Tahiti by McDonnell and Entire Travel Group head of Product, Tina Heyer, who met with key resort partners and Tahiti Tourism representatives, and attended ParauParau Tahiti. Discussions focused on long-term growth strategies and how best to support Australian agents as demand rebuilds.
With two non-stop flights per week launching in December 2026, Tahiti is now closer and more accessible than it has been in over a decade – and Tahiti Travel is positioned to lead the destination’s next phase of growth.
