Flight Centre Travel Group’s independent agency network, Envoyage, has announced the appointment of business development partner Karen Dowling.

Dowling joins the business with more than 30 years of experience in the travel industry, having worked at Air New Zealand, Singapore Airlines and more recently Travel Managers.

Envoyage national sales director Fiona Batten said Karen’s role will be vital in driving growth in the Australian market as the brand sets out to expand its member network.

“Karen is incredibly well respected in the industry, and we’re thrilled to have her on the team as we reinforce Envoyage as the leading independent travel network in the world,” she said.

“Our key focus for the upcoming year is to welcome even more members to join our incredible network as we continue to expand across diverse global markets together.

Karen said she’s eager to be part of Envoyage’s growth journey and bolstering the portfolio of world-class travel entrepreneurs.

“I’m really looking forward to working with some incredible travel business leaders in Australia and showcasing the value of being part of the incredible global network that is Envoyage.

“The opportunity for our members to be able to tap into Flight Centre Travel Group’s global product marketplace and commitment to innovation is second to none, offering unparalleled support and opportunity for growth.

“Independent business ownership can be lonely at times, so being part of a network full of inspiring peers means there’s opportunity to share advice, find mentors and form friendships across the globe.
