Envoyage, Flight Centre Travel Group’s premier independent network, hosted its exclusive Amplify event at the brand’s global head office in Brisbane for travel industry leaders.
The event brought together Australian member for a discussion around how to build a strong, sustainable brand in today’s market.
Sponsored by Explora Journeys, Envoyage Global Head of Brand and Marketing, Allie Sparr, led the discussion with a keynote presentation on the impact of branding.
“Investing in your brand is an investment in your business growth,” Sparr said. “Advisors and agencies who consistently focus on clear and authentic branding – supported by the right tools, content, and guidance – are better positioned to connect with clients, inspire trust, and grow sustainably.
“Branding isn’t just about logos and colour palettes. It’s about creating mental availability – being top of mind for your customers long before they’re ready to buy. If you wait until they’re ready to book, you’ve already missed the opportunity.”
Sparr unpacked the importance of brand consistency, customer connection, and authentic storytelling, reinforcing that 95 per cent of purchase decisions are influenced by our subconscious minds.
“It’s not about chasing short-term spikes in sales – it’s about standing out and staying relevant,” Sparr added.
The panel featured David Sumich (director, National Travel Group), Mark Hodgson (director, Mind and Body Travel), Adam Dickson (business development manager, Infinity Holidays), and Sam Langton (business relationship lead, Explora Journeys), who shared how branding and purpose translate into everyday client impact.
“Keep telling your brand story – even when you think it isn’t working. You might not see it in the short term, but you are planting a seed and it will grow,” Langton said. “Be consistent and believe in your brand.”
“It’s not just about the trip – it’s the full journey,” Sumich added. “National Travel’s My Travel App ensures our travellers feel supported every step of the way.”
“Travel should nourish the soul and help people grow,” Hodgson shared. “Our brand speaks to that, using emotionally resonant language to guide our clients toward experiences that truly matter.”
The Amplify event series is a part of Envoyage’s professional development support program, available exclusively to members of the brand to provide them with the tools and inspiration to think bigger, act bolder and stand out in a crowded market. The next event is on Thursday, 19 June 2025.
