Envoyage has made three key appointments across its product leadership, global marketing and Australian business development teams.

Tracy Backshall has been appointed as global head of product and will focus on transforming the Envoyage product marketplace shopping experience, including NDC and air ticketing capabilities to offer advisors faster, more flexible options.

Backshall has a deep knowledge of travel technology, with over 30 years’ experience in managerial positions across Bank of Queensland, Bolton Clarke, ANZ, KPMG and the University of Queensland, most recently serving as program manager at FCTG.

Caitlyn Paris joins the global marketing team as global content and social media marketing manager. She joins from FCTG-owned cruise wholesaler, CruiseHQ, where she was marketing manager.

With over 10 years of industry experience, Paris is known for her strong track record in content strategy. She will lead Envoyage’s marketing strategy with a social-first approach that builds presence and brings advisors to the forefront of its content.

Sharyn Ulcoq has been appointed as business development partner, bringing 14 years of experience spent working directly with travel agencies. She joins Envoyage’s Australian team and will be based in Melbourne.

Ulcoq worked most recently as senior account executive for FCTG’s US corporate brand Corporate Traveller USA. She brings a detailed understanding of the operational demands client expectations and day-to-day needs of high-performing travel businesses to the role.

Future-fit at FCTG

The appointments reflect the ambition of Flight Centre Travel Groups’ independent agency network to build something future-fit for its members, Envoyage global general manager, Astrid Richardson, said.
“Tracy brings a different kind of product expertise to Envoyage, and that is intentional. Her background in travel technology means she is well placed to transform how our members interact with our product marketplace, so that shopping and booking the full range, including through NDC, is seamless and the commercial returns reflect the strength of what we offer,” she said.
“Sharyn’s appointment gives our Australian community a dedicated, experienced partner who understands what it takes to build a successful travel business. This is a network that is investing in its future, and in that of our members.”
Global head of brand and marketing Allie Sparr said Paris’ role combines creative ambition and a genuine understanding of the advisor experience.
“Caitlyn knows this industry, what matters to travel entrepreneurs, and how to translate that into storytelling that builds trust and drives results.
“The creativity and expertise she brings to this role means our members will start to see their world reflected in the Envoyage brand in ways that feel genuinely theirs. We are absolutely delighted to welcome her to the team,” Sparr said.
