Heavy rain didn’t dampen the spirits of guests who attended the Enlighten festival held throughout Canberra over the weekend. Despite the downpour, visitors still enjoyed the sensory delights on offer, including architectural projections onto some of Canberra’s iconic buildings (pictured).
The annual event, running over four nights, is part of the Canberra Festival which features entertainment and attractions to showcase the capital’s entertainment precinct. This year Enlighten boasts 35 free and ticketed events across 13 national attractions. Enlighten event manager, Dianne Ireland, said “The event provides exclusive after-hour events at Canberra’s world-class attractions which are not on offer at other times during the year.”
Some of the one-off attractions include a rather messy game of Pollock Pong (ping pong with paint), live music and special dining events to showcase the region’s restaurants, producers and winemakers.
The next instalments of Enlighten will take place this Friday and Saturday night.
