The announcement aligns with Expedia Group’s recent recognition as a 2024 Inc. Power Partner, marking its prominence among B2B companies that drive business growth through innovative solutions. Expedia Group’s Private Label Solutions team currently supports over 60,000 businesses with cutting-edge technology, including Rapid API and White Label Template tools. The partnership with Microsoft represents the first integration of Expedia’s advanced Rapid API technology with its One Key rewards program, streamlining booking for Bing users through access to a global network of over 750,000 hotels and vacation rentals.
“We are excited to join forces with Microsoft to offer Bing users more ways to earn, redeem, and travel the world,” Expedia Group president Private Label Solutions Alfonso Paredes said.
The rewards initiative reflects industry trends toward offering flexibility and choice in loyalty schemes, with recent data from Arrivia’s 2024 Travel Loyalty Outlook indicating that 56 per cent of brands aim to introduce more versatile rewards options, up from 47 per cent two years ago.
Reid Maker, Microsoft Rewards Partner GM, added, “Our partnership with Expedia Group creates a unique value proposition for Bing users, offering them access to a trusted travel platform with a wide range of lodging options.”
The enhanced travel experience is now available in 16 markets globally, including the U.S., Canada, Australia, and the U.K., positioning Expedia Group as Bing’s preferred travel provider across key international destinations.
