Adventure tourism company Experience Co Limited (ASX: EXP), has successfully completed its divestment of Wild Bush Luxury to Intrepid Travel.
The portfolio includes the Arkaba Homestead and Walk in South Australia, Bamurru Plains in the Northern Territory and The Maria Island Walk in Tasmania. It also includes the business’ rights to develop future experiences in NSW and Tasmania.
Today’s completion follows the successful completion of the customary condition precedents contained in the Share Purchase Agreement with Intrepid Travel announced to the ASX on 8 December 2025.
This agreement was for the sale of Wild Bush Luxury for cash consideration of $5.1 million on a cash/debt free basis. Estimated net proceeds after transaction costs and excluding cash retained by EXP relating to forward bookings are approximately $3.4 million (subject to final completion statement adjustments). Consistent with the announcement to the market on 8 December 2025, EXP will use these proceeds to pay down corporate debt.
“We are pleased to have reached this milestone as we continue our focus on positioning the company for improved growth and shareholder returns,” Experience Co CEO John O’Sullivan said. “I’d like to thank all members of the Wild Bush Luxury team for their contribution to EXP and wish them and Intrepid Travel all the best for the future.”
“We wish Brett Mitchell, FCA James Thornton and the team at Intrepid all the very best with this great asset. They will be great owners,” O’Sullivan added in a post on LinkedIn.
Founded in 1999 as a tandem skydiving operation in Wollongong, Australia, the EXP Group has grown to be a diversified adventure tourism business comprising skydiving, dive and snorkel, premium and family adventure experiences.
Its experiences are primarily located on Australia’s seaboard from the Great Ocean Road in Victoria to Tropical North Queensland’s Cape Tribulation, and a Perth-based operation on the western seaboard.
That includes tandem skydive drop zones in Queenstown, New Zealand and beachfront around Australia.
