Experience Co is selling its Australian and New Zealand skydiving and aviation operations to New Zealand’s Inflite Group in a strategic shake-up.
Experience Co has agreed to sell and merge its Australian and New Zealand skydiving and aviation business with New Zealand’s Inflite Group, marking a significant reshaping of the adventure tourism operator’s portfolio.
The transaction will combine Experience Co’s skydiving and aviation operations with Inflite Group’s aviation and tourism businesses, creating one of the largest adventure aviation operators across Australia and New Zealand.
Experience Co said the deal forms part of its strategy to simplify its business and sharpen its focus on its core attractions portfolio, which includes experiences such as the SkyPoint Observation Deck on the Gold Coast, TreeTop Challenge adventure parks and Reef Unlimited operations.
Under the agreement, Experience Co will receive consideration for the sale while retaining an interest in the merged business, allowing it to participate in future growth opportunities without directly operating the aviation division.
The combined business is expected to benefit from greater scale, operational efficiencies and an expanded product offering across both sides of the Tasman.
Experience Co’s skydiving operations have long been a key part of Australia’s adventure tourism sector, offering tandem skydives from destinations including the Great Ocean Road, Byron Bay, Mission Beach, Airlie Beach and the Whitsundays, as well as operations in New Zealand.
Inflite Group operates a diverse tourism and aviation portfolio in New Zealand, including scenic flights, helicopter experiences, air charter services and tourism attractions.
Experience Co said the transaction is expected to deliver value for shareholders while positioning the merged aviation business for long-term growth in the adventure tourism market.
The sale remains subject to customary conditions and regulatory approvals before it is completed.
