Experiential Journeys has announced the opening of its new sales office in Melbourne. Located in Heidelberg, the office is led by Anuruddha Bandara, founder and Adrian Leben, business development director, and John Todd, sales specialist.

“This is an exciting development,” Bandara said. “With our Melbourne office now open, we can provide local, continuous, and efficient support to travel agents across Australia and New Zealand.”

One of the company’s standout offerings is the “Luxury Sri Lanka by Rail & Road” itinerary – a journey through the island aboard colonial-era trains, including segments still operated using the traditional tablet system. Guests stay in beautifully restored plantation bungalows, relax in serene southern coastal retreats, and enjoy luxurious eco-lodges and gourmet farm-to-table cuisine. Travelers also engage with sustainable tourism projects, ensuring their experience leaves a positive footprint.

In India, the company offers the acclaimed “Cultural Journey of India” – a 10-day immersive odyssey exploring the heart of the subcontinent. Guests experience India’s artistic, spiritual, and culinary richness through visits to iconic landmarks such as the Amber Fort in Jaipur, the Taj Mahal, and the ghats of Varanasi. Highlights include block-printing workshops in Jaipur, a private Aarti ceremony on the Ganges, and interactive culinary sessions with top chefs in Delhi. Accommodations include luxury boutique hotels and regal heritage properties, offering indulgence with authenticity.

Experiential Journeys offers an array of accommodation options – from eco-retreats and guesthouses to private villas and luxury resorts.

With a team of over 250 travel professionals across Sri Lanka and India, the company ensures that every itinerary is thoughtfully designed and flawlessly executed.

At the newly opened Melbourne office, travel advisors can book on behalf of clients and receive expert support in designing tailor-made itineraries. This hands-on, local assistance enables Australian and New Zealand agents to confidently offer exclusive, personalised journeys.

Further showcasing its commitment to meaningful travel, Experiential Journeys is the official logistics partner for Pedal Sri Lanka 2025 — a 14-day charity cycling challenge across Sri Lanka’s most scenic landscapes. Kicking off on August 18, 2025, this ride supports Sri Lanka’s leading children’s hospitals in collaboration with AUSLMAT (Australia–Sri Lanka Medical Aid Team).

Open to international riders, it’s a powerful way to explore Sri Lanka while making a real difference in children’s lives.
