Explora Journeys has appointed Amy Williams as commercial director, leading the brand’s commercial team from the Sydney office. 

Williams brings almost 20 years’ experience with Carnival Corporation to the role, and will report to MSC Group managing director, Katrina McAlpine.

“We are delighted to confirm the appointment of Amy Williams as Commercial Director, Australia and New Zealand,” Explora Journeys said in a statement to Travel Weekly.

“Based in Explora Journeys Sydney office, Amy will lead the commercial team across the region, driving continued growth and strengthening relationships with trade partners. We warmly welcome Amy to the team and wish her every success in her new role.”

Williams spent more than 10 years with Cunard, working most recently as the cruise line’s sales and marketing director.

She began her career with Carnival in 2007, working as a reservations cruise consultant based in Southampton, United Kingdom.

Williams’ career to date has seen her in roles spanning customer support administrator, customer data development executive, distribution development manager, strategic account manager at Carnival UK, before her move to Cunard in 2016 to serve as Cunard business manager, national sales manager and Cunard senior planning and onboard sales manager.
