To celebrate the holidays, EXPLORA I sails from 23 to 30 December 2024, starting in Miami and visiting San Juan (Puerto Rico), Road Bay (Anguilla), Roseau (Dominica), Castries (St. Lucia), and Bridgetown (Barbados), while EXPLORA II sets sail from 20 to 27 December, with stops in Road Bay (Anguilla), Pointe-à-Pitre (Guadeloupe), Jost van Dyke (British Virgin Islands), and Marigot (St. Martin) before concluding in San Juan.

As the New Year approaches, EXPLORA I departs from Bridgetown on 30 December 2024, celebrating New Year’s eve in St. George’s (Grenada), before visiting Kralendijk (Bonaire), Willemstad (Curacao), and Oranjestad (Aruba), ending in Miami on 7 January 2025. EXPLORA II begins her New Year journey on 27 December 2024, in San Juan, featuring stops in Charlotte Amalie (US Virgin Islands), St. John’s (Antigua), and Basseterre (St. Kitts and Nevis), with New Year’s Eve fireworks in San Juan and concluding in Miami on 5 January 2025.

Christmas and New Year’s Eve onboard EXPLORA I and EXPLORA II

Explora Journeys invites travellers to celebrate the holiday season. The two ships will be transformed into festive havens, adorned with twinkling lights, wreaths, trees, and elegantly crafted ornaments, evoking the magic of the season.

Guests are treated to gingerbread houses and a range of seasonal treats, prepared by the talented culinary team, adding a delightful touch to the festivities. Special holiday entertainment includes choirs, carols, parades, and a Santa meet-and-greet, all designed to add a sophisticated and joyous atmosphere to the celebration. Curated holiday menus elevate the spirit of tradition and luxury throughout the season.

They can also expect an enchanting celebration at sea. At midnight, breathtaking fireworks displays light up the night sky in San Juan (Puerto Ric) and St. George’s (Grenada), providing the perfect backdrop for the grand occasion. After the fireworks, guests can dance the night away at the exclusive New Year’s Eve gala, ensuring a night filled with glamour, unforgettable memories, and a luxurious start to the new year.

Thanksgiving celebrations with a seaside twist

Explora guests can celebrate Thanksgiving amidst the tranquil azure waters of the Mediterranean on EXPLORA I or along the stunning beaches of the Caribbean on EXPLORA II. The experience offers authentic Thanksgiving menus, featuring oven-roasted Bourbon Red Tom turkey, a ship-wide scavenger hunt, and workshops to create Thanksgiving-themed decorations.

Guests seeking a deeper connection, a wellness retreat focused on gratitude and self-reflection will be available, providing an enriching experience that nurtures both body and soul. This Thanksgiving gathering offers the perfect opportunity to reconnect with loved ones, share meaningful moments, and fully immerse in the joy of the holiday season, setting the tone for a truly unforgettable festive period.

EXPLORA I begins her Thanksgiving journey on 20 November 2024, in Barcelona, featuring stops in Alicante (Spain), Motril (Spain), Tangier (Morocco), and Lisbon (Portugal), with a visit to Málaga (Spain) before returning to Barcelona on 29 November 2024, while EXPLORA II departs from Miami on 22 November 2024, and invites guests to visit Road Bay (Anguilla), Roseau (Dominica), and Basse-Terre (Guadeloupe), concluding in San Juan (Puerto Rico) on 29 November 2024.
