Two Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG) brands are marking new chapters, with Ashleigh O’Reilly stepping into the national marketing manager role at Envoyage Australia and Blake Newell moving into a partnerships marketing lead role at World360 Rewards.
Envoyage Australia has appointed O’Reilly as national marketing manager, where she will take responsibility for all marketing activity across the Australian market and join the Australian regional leadership team.
O’Reilly brings more than 15 years of experience across marketing, sales, customer service and operations. She most recently served as senior marketing manager at Infinity Holidays, where she reinvigorated brand reputation through sustained trade media coverage and grew the brand’s cooperative marketing efforts over 18 months. Before joining Infinity, she spent 13 years at DriveAway Holidays, most recently as head of marketing, building B2B and B2C strategies across the Australian travel landscape.
The appointment follows Newell’s move into the newly created partnerships marketing lead role at World360 Rewards, FCTG’s newly launched loyalty programme spanning Flight Centre, Travel Associates and Cruiseabout. Newell held the national marketing manager role at Envoyage Australia for three years before taking on the new position.
Allie Sparr, global head of brand and marketing at Envoyage, said Newell had been instrumental in building the marketing foundations that carried Envoyage Australia through an important stage of growth.
“Watching him step into the [partnerships marketing lead] role at World360 Rewards feels like exactly the right move for someone with his talent and ambition. I’m glad to see him continue to build his career within the FCTG business,” Sparr said.
“I’m equally excited about Ashleigh stepping into the national marketing manager role. She brings a broad background in marketing, particularly in the B2B space, a deep understanding of the Australian travel industry landscape and a blend of analytical and creative thinking that will serve our network well. Ash brings real warmth to everything she does, and our network is going to feel that from day one.”
Newell said his time with Envoyage had been genuinely rewarding.
“I’ve had the chance to help build a marketing function through a period of rapid growth for the network, and that taught me a lot about what it takes to scale a brand while keeping its community at the centre,” he said. “I’m excited to carry that into my next chapter with World360 Rewards, joining right as the programme sets out on its own massive growth trajectory.”
O’Reilly said the move gave her the chance to apply her experience on a larger stage.
“I’m excited to take everything I’ve learned throughout my career so far and apply it on a different stage, working with such a large and diverse network of independent advisors and agencies. It’s a chance to build marketing that genuinely helps hundreds of businesses grow, rather than just supporting a single brand,” she said.
“This move, for both me and Blake, is a great example of what internal mobility at FCTG actually looks like in practice and how much the group invests in developing its people, and I’m very grateful for that.”
In her new role, O’Reilly will lead the national marketing strategy for Envoyage Australia, working closely with global marketing specialists and counterparts across New Zealand, the USA, Canada and South Africa to support advisor acquisition and deliver marketing initiatives for members across the network.
