The awards are a milestone event set to celebrate the achievements of the tourism industry in Southwest and Western Sydney on 16 October and aim to set a benchmark for the industry to encourage growth and participation, especially with the opening of the Western Sydney International Airport (WSI) later this year.
Attendees at the gala event Western Sydney Convention Centre, in Penrith can expect an evening of good food, wine, entertainment, and recognition of the best of Western Sydney.
The Western Sydney Tourism Taskforce said it has been overwhelmed by the number of submissions received this year, making it the biggest awards program ever and showcasing the strength, innovation, and excellence of Western Sydney’s visitor economy.

Categories & Criteria
The Western Sydney Tourism Awards 2026 has 13 categories to choose from. The fee to enter the Western Sydney Tourism Awards 2026 is $120 per category. Entrants are encouraged to enter more than one category.
