Fine Tours Group has appointed Scott McNab as chief executive officer, marking an important step in the company’s next phase of growth across New Zealand and Australia.

McNab brings more than 20 years of leadership experience spanning customer, commercial, marketing and business transformation, along with a strong track record of helping ambitious New Zealand businesses grow and expand internationally. His previous leadership roles include RealNZ and Icebreaker.

He joins Fine Tours Group at an important stage in the company’s growth, as it continues to expand across New Zealand and Australia and accelerate investment in the tools, systems and capability that support better experiences for travellers and travel advisors.

Fine Tours Group is an Australia and New Zealand touring specialist that designs, sells and operates tailored journeys for travellers and travel advisors. Across its portfolio of specialist brands and trade platforms, the group combines local expertise, thoughtful planning and real human support to make complex itineraries feel clear, personal and well looked after.

As the business continues to evolve, that human element remains central to its approach. Fine Tours Group sees technology and AI as tools that help teams move faster, plan smarter and support customers more effectively but never as a substitute for expertise, care and accountability.

“Scott is joining Fine Tours Group at an exciting time,” Fine Tours Group executive director Amy Ellis said. “He brings a strong mix of commercial leadership, customer focus and transformation experience, and we are confident he is the right person to help lead our next phase of growth.

“Just as importantly, he understands the value of building a modern business without losing the human expertise and care that our customers and partners rely on.”

McNab said he was drawn to the strength of the business, its specialist brand portfolio and its reputation for high-touch travel across New Zealand and Australia.

“Fine Tours Group has built an impressive portfolio of specialist brands and a strong reputation for expert, high-touch travel across New Zealand and Australia,” McNab said.

“What stood out to me was the combination of deep destination knowledge, customer focus and clear ambition for the future. I am excited to work with the team to build on that foundation and continue strengthening the experience we deliver for both customers and trade partners.”
