Travelmarvel has offered a first look at its new European river ship Rigel in action, with the ship now officially underway after welcoming guests onboard for her inaugural sailing.

Fresh from the Danube, these images capture Travelmarvel’s newest ship as she begins her first season, bringing to life the contemporary design, onboard experience and innovation that define the next chapter of the brand’s European river cruise offering.

With Rigel now sailing, Travelmarvel looks forward to welcoming more guests onboard and creating even more memorable experiences across the Rhine, Main and Danube as its purpose-built fleet continues to grow.

The new ship departed Amsterdam on 30 June on the line’s signature European Gems itinerary to Budapest, marking the latest investment by the APT Travel Group in Europe’s growing river cruise market.

Travelmarvel Rigel joins sister ships Polaris, Capella and Vega, giving Travelmarvel a fleet of four custom-designed vessels operating across Europe’s most popular waterways.

Carrying up to 178 guests across 89 cabins, the ship features a crew of 44 and includes an open-air Sun Deck with a Jacuzzi, a gym, multiple dining venues and a range of suite categories, including Owner’s Suites and French Balcony Suites with electronic slide-down windows.
