Delta is doubling down in Los Angeles with the initial phase of its second Delta One lounge now open.

The first phase of the development is located on the mezzanine level of LAX Terminal 2, with seating for 75 guests.

In 2027, Delta will add an 11,000-square-foot Delta Sky Club to Terminal 2, bringing its portfolio to 60 lounges worldwide – the most expansive of any US-based airline.

“This investment remains congruent to our strategy of elevating the premium experience both at LAX and across our global network,” vice president of Delta Sky Club and Lounge Experience Megan Humphreys said.

“With demand for premium travel continuing to rise and our global footprint expanding, we’re thoughtfully looking at every square foot we have – designing every detail with intention and to align with the Delta One experience our customers deserve.”

The new lounge boasts views of the airfield, artwork from seven LA-based creators and a selection of portable monitors and wireless chargers for guests to use throughout. Amenities include three showers, four cabana-style bathrooms and a premium bar.

The Delta One culinary program for both T2 and T3 lounges has been designed with local flavours in mind.

“Our menu incorporates farm-fresh ingredients year-round, drawing inspiration and delectable produce from California’s rich agricultural landscape. When combined these rich ingredients create dishes that are both vibrant and grounded in the beauty of California,” culinary director Michael Rouleau said.

Guests enjoy table service dining from evert seat, with a rotating menu of dishes like lamb bolognese with house-made lumache pasta and hamachi crudo featuring fish flown in daily from Japan.

Phase two will see the entire space renovated in 2027.
