The newly refurbished Paspaley Pearl has entered Australian waters for the first time after arriving in the Port of Darwin earlier today.
Last week Pearl Expeditions executive chair, Sarina Bratton AM, toasted the handover of the motor yacht from Annie Chua, Group CEO of ICF International, which worked closely with the Paspaley team to bring the vessel to the high standard that guests will expect when it commences its first Kimberley expedition departing Wyndham, Western Australia, on 31 July.
There has been strong demand for the inaugural 70-day expedition season through to early October, despite no main launch into trade. Of the first seven departures in the Kimberley and northern Australia, space remains available on just four voyages.
The Paspaley Pearl crew of 21 will welcome their first guests on in Wyndham, then commence an in-depth season of Kimberley experiences, enhanced by the opportunity to learn, engage and experience first-hand why Paspaley produces “the most beautiful pearls in the world”.
Bespoke experiences planned for Paspaley Pearl’s (maximum) 30 guests have been carefully selected by the four expedition naturalists who personally guide guests as they reveal the myriad secrets of this remote, unforgettable, coastline.
There is also a special opportunity to visit a working Paspaley family pearl farm operation, as well as rarely visited hidden sites such as Whirlpool Pass and Ruby Falls – only accessible by small ship and insider knowledge.
Following the initial Kimberley expedition voyages, Paspaley Pearl will then head to Papua New Guinea, East Indonesia, Raja Ampat and Borneo.
