The month long Fleurieu Food Festival 2025 in August is celebrating the flavours, people, and places that make the region a unique epicurean wonderland.
Now it in its fourth year, 2025 promises to deliver the best festival yet with over sixty food and beverage events comprising of vineyard feasts to farm-fresh experiences, to intimate long lunches, hands-on workshops, and chef-led dining events that showcase the region’s finest produce.
Sip and savour
Event organisers are calling all visitors to sip and savour their way through the peninsula this August to meet the makers and taste the stories behind every bite, and immerse themselves in a season of indulgence where paddock-to-plate isn’t just a concept, it’s a way of life.
“We are very excited to be gearing up for another Fleurieu Food Festival,” Fleurieu Food Festival Board chair, Todd Steel, said. “It has quickly become a great success and there is nothing more rewarding to our farmers, producers and operators than to provide local hospitality, tell the tales and share the joy of the season with visitors to our region.
“Our community is ready to uncork something very special. Visitors can immerse themselves in a place where provenance meets indulgence, taste the terroir, enjoy deep cellar pours, and journey into comfort, connection, and culinary discovery.
“Winter is such a great time to visit the Fleurieu Peninsula, the log fires, the fresh winter air, the abundant array of produce and the aromas of artisan feasts cooking throughout the region are simple pleasures to be enjoyed.”
Sun, sand and seafood
Visitors might find themselves drifting through the peaceful Coorong, pausing on sun-warmed sand to savour fresh fish cooked over an open fire. They might settle in at Ekhidna Wines for a seven-course mushroom degustation, each dish a quiet celebration of the season and the earth. Or they might roll up their sleeves and learn the art of stretching mozzarella and making pasta, just like Nonna.
An exciting new experience to the program this year includes the ultimate personal chef dining experience with Will Doak of Lost Phoenix Farm, who will cook a three-course meal for guests at the luxury eco-tourism retreat Nest and Nature in the Inman Valley.
