Kylie Conboy has been appointed to the newly created role of Global Flight Centre People Partner, effective 6 January 2025.
Conboy’s role will see her operationalise and deploy people-focused strategies to support Flight Centre’s 3000+ people around the globe, at the same time as supporting the global recruitment needs necessary to power Flight Centre’s ambitious growth strategies.
Since starting with Flight Centre in 1993, Conboy’s 31-year career has included roles from Consultant through to Nation Leader across Flight Centre and Campus Travel, and leading teams within various people and culture related businesses such as Leadership Training and Flight Centre Business School.
Flight Centre global managing director, Andrew Stark, said Conboy’s appointment offers a strengthening of expertise and focus within the team to support the brand’s most powerful assets, its brand warriors.
“Cowboy comes to our Global Leadership Team having spent the past 12 months on our Australian leadership team as the People & Culture representative at the same time as leading our Business School in Australia, which forms a key part of our development pathway, so I know we have the right leader in this role.
“We employ 3000+ brand warriors around the world and collectively, they are our most powerful billboards so it’s important we continue to ensure we are supporting their needs, celebrating our unique culture and creating a modernised brand they’re proud to represent,” said Stark.
Speaking of her appointment, Conboy said this new role is an opportunity she is excited to take on.
“I love our mighty red and white brand, I’ve been immersed in and around it for the past 30 plus years so to have the opportunity to lead and represent our people of Flight Centre within the global leadership team is an opening I am excited to take on.”
Conboy is a an FCTG ‘Hall of Famer’, having been inducted into the company’s prestigious Hall of Fame in 2022.
