Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG) has been named among the Top 10 Inspiring Workplaces in Australasia at the 2026 Inspiring Workplaces Awards.
The company took out the Enterprise Inspiring Workplace category and received recognition for wellbeing, culture and purpose. Judges singled out FCTG’s WISES wellbeing programs as a standout.
FCTG CEO Graham ‘Skroo’ Turner said the program is a fundamental part of the business.
“If your people aren’t winning, your business isn’t winning. That’s generally how it works,” he said.
“We’re obviously very committed to setting our people up for personal and professional success. It’s central to how we run the business and, typically, it’s what keeps people engaged and motivated over the long term.”
“When you support financial health, physical and mental wellbeing, and give people the opportunity to experience the world themselves, you usually end up with better careers and a better business,” he added.
The WISES framework, has been a cornerstone of FCTG’s people strategy for 30 years. It takes a holistic approach to employee wellbeing across four pillars: Healthwise (physical and mental wellbeing), Moneywise (financial wellbeing), Travelwise (dedicated internal travel agency) and Worldwise (travel and social connection).
Judges noted that 75 per cent of FCTG employees globally accessed WISES programs and services. They described the model as “a coherent philosophy that’s been refined over 30 years”.
The Inspiring Workplaces Awards assess organisations across culture, leadership, wellbeing and employee experience.
