India’s IT services, consulting and business solutions giant Tata Consultancy Services has partnered with Flight Centre Travel Group to support its global digital transformation journey.

Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG) is one of the world’s largest travel groups with a vast leisure and corporate travel sales network spanning Australia and New Zealand, The Americas, EMEA and Asia.

“We are delighted to be working with TCS as we continue our evolution as a business,” Flight Centre Travel Group’s CEO Graham ‘Skroo’ Turner said. “Strengthening our technology backbone is an ongoing priority and we look forward to collaborating with the TCS team to deliver tangible benefits to our people and, ultimately, our customers and shareholders.”

Headquartered in Mumbai, TCS is part of the Tata Group and operates in 150 locations across 46 countries.

As part of the strategic partnership, TCS, with its deep domain expertise in technology, data and AI in the travel industry, will future proof FCTG’s cloud and network services, strengthen resilience and modernise services platforms across its operations.

The partnership will streamline and consolidate core systems, unlock greater value from existing technological investments and improve performance across FCTG’s global enterprise technology stack.

Platform standardisation

TCS will help FCTG develop and execute a clear strategy to enhance platform standardisation and drive continuous service level improvements through robust governance and transparent reporting. The partnership with FCTG builds on TCS’ expertise in the travel sector.

“We are happy to partner with Flight Centre Travel Group on this pivotal transformation to simplify and uplift the customer and employee experience,” Tata Consultancy Services president of Consumer Business Group, Krishnan Ramanujam, said.

TCS has been strengthening its presence in Australia for over 35 years and serves as a digital partner to most of the top 10 listed companies in the region. The company has operations in five locations across Australia has also been recognised among LinkedIn’s Top 25 companies to work for and as a top employer in the region by the Top Employers Institute.
