Brisbane-based Caldwell, from Flight Centre Brookside, won the first eco-friendly Xiaomi e-Scooter thanks to his bookings between 22 May and 30 June.
Caldwell recorded the highest value of bookings through Rail Online’s innovative online platform.
He says the smooth-riding e-Scooter – valued at $1,000 – will provide the perfect commute.
“I only live two kilometres from our store so it’s going to provide an easy way to get to work, and I’m looking forward to having some fun with it on the weekends.”
As part of the incentive, Oceania’s fastest-growing rail specialist also awarded cash vouchers to top performers including Emma Oliver (Flight Centre Blacktown, NSW), Dan Brown (Travel Managers, NSW), Robyn Davies (WOW! Travel, VIC) and Cathrin Scaife (Flight Centre Claremont, WA).
General manager Australia and New Zealand Kirsty Blows says the incentive was a major success, not just because it provided a fun way to ensure Rail Online was front-of-mind with consultants.
“By featuring an eco-friendly prize, the incentive also helped remind agents of the environmental advantages of rail travel, which is of course driving extraordinary growth in the European market,” says Blows. “At the same time, it was nice to see winners spread across the country.”
Since launching the incentive Rail Online has continued to expand its product range, most recently with the addition of Trenitalia’s full range of Italian train journeys (with tickets available up to six months in advance).
