There are only a few airlines that make you feel right at home as soon as you board and fewer safety videos that leave you with a proud tear in your eye. Call it clever branding, but it really hits home!
Highlighting the talented Qantas employees around the world all while promoting their broad international connections and routes. There’s something about flying the national carrier that makes you feel like you’ve arrived at your destination with a big hug from your favourite aunt (not that we have one, we promise)

There is no shortage of credible business class offers in market, from food and entertainment, to grand lounges and personalised notes awaiting you on at your seat. However, Qantas has always been a personal favourite of mine and here’s why.
Seats:
Fully flat, straight beds. This absolutely seals the deal for me in terms of great business class beds! As some of the other business class seats in market are shifted on an angle which could mean extra tossing and turning to get comfortable.
A straight fully flatbed means a comfortable and deep sleep no matter how you prefer to doze off in your comfortable Qantas pyjamas. Seat configuration is 1-2-1 giving you ultra-luxury with their privacy screens. Fully equipped with all the bells and whistles, multiple compartments for a good book, USB and PC charging ports and an impressive 16” touch screen device.
Bed specific;
46” Seat pitch
80” Bed/Seat length
23-24” Seat width
24-25” Bed width
Food and Wine
If you’ve been lucky enough to dine at one of Neil Perry’s restaurants you know the that the food onboard is not going to skip a beat! Premium food and wine are at the core of the Qantas’ service and experience. This is evident as Qantas is rolling out the single biggest investment in its inflight and lounge dining program in a decade! Including larger portions across all cabins not just business class and highlighting Australian native produce.
Celebrated chef, Neil Perry joined the Qantas team as creative director of food and beverage and with his team of chefs, sommeliers and mixologists they collectively design and oversee the dining experience on board. Read more about this Iconic collaboration.
Lounge (Qantas Sydney International Business Lounge)
Spacious and elegant overlooking a busy airport with multiple planes landing and leaving this international gateway. The gourmet dining and premium wines are the highlight of the lounge. From freshly-prepared dishes to a delicious array of baked goodies on offer. This fully-equipped lounge is a short stroll from all the gates and offers all the amenities needed to prepare for a comfortable flight including showers, Wi-Fi, barrister made coffee (a big selling point for me), various seating and lounge areas, charging ports and of course exceptional service.
