Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines had taken 10 travel agents on a famil from Melbourne to Hobart aboard the classic British liner, Bolette.

Hosted by Cruise Traveller business development manager for Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia, Laura Stone was joined by Cruise Traveller’s PR representatives, Andrew and Moira Mevissen.

During the short but fun trip from Melbourne to Hobart, the group enjoyed the ship’s relaxed elegance and sampled various onboard restaurants as well as time-honoured high tea. They also visited the Bridge where one of the agents, Kim McGiffin, from Travel Plus in Warrigul (VIC), took a shine to the captain’s chair and his hat and offered to take over the ship’s navigation – a generous offer that was politely declined by the real captain.

The spacious 63,000 tonne, traditional-style Bolette, carrying 1,300 guests, is mid-way through a round-the-world cruise from the UK. Fred. Olsen Cruises Lines’ three ships offer destination-rich voyages around Europe, Scandinavia, the Caribbean, and South America.
