G Adventures will resume Jordan departures from 1 August 2026, following the easing of travel advisories to the region.
The operator paused trips to Jordan for three months due to the conflict in the Middle East. Departures will now recommence, with travellers able to visit Petra, Wadi Rum, the Dead Sea and Jerash.
“We’ve always been quick to return to destinations as soon as it is safe to do so, because we’ve seen time and again the vital role tourism plays in supporting local communities and livelihoods,” G Adventures chief operating officer Michelle Hudema said.
“Jordan holds a special place for us. Following our GX Summit in September 2025, we welcomed new communities and local partners into our tours and supply chain, and we’re eager to resume operations and continue creating opportunities through the power of sustainable travel,” Hudema said.
Hudema added that late summer and autumn were good seasons to visit, including for travellers hiking sections of the Jordan Trail or joining tours designed for solo travellers.
In September 2025, G Adventures brought together more than 700 agents, suppliers, travellers and media in Jordan for its annual GX Summit. The company said the event contributed to a 186 per cent increase in traveller numbers in the following months, and that community experiences included in its tours had expanded from two to eight.
G Adventures said travellers returning to Jordan would support recovery efforts in communities affected by the pause in tourism.
