Day 1 of the 45th Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE25), has opened in Brisbane/Meanjin with around 1,500 Australian seller delegates and 700 buyer delegates from over 30 countries attending.
They are expected to conduct 60,000 scheduled business appointments and participate in key networking events at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre over the next four days.
ATE25, in partnership with Tourism and Events Queensland, with support from Brisbane Economic Development Agency, also provides international buyers with the opportunity to experience Australia’s tourism offerings first-hand through pre- and post-event familiarisations to both Queensland destinations and interstate locations.
Welcoming delegates to the event were Tourism Australia’s chair Penny Fowler, managing director Philippa Harrison, and Queensland’s Minister for Tourism Andrew Powell MP.
