Uniworld has released fresh images of its brand-new super ship Emilie which was officially christened by CEO Ellen Bettridge in the centre of Amsterdam recently.
Sailing the Danube River, the newest member of Uniworld’s Super ShipTM fleet is inspired by master Viennese painter Gustav Klimt.
In his honour, the vessel is named after his beloved muse, Emilie Flöge. S.S. Emilie brings elements of Klimt’s signature style with dramatic hues, Art Nouveau elements, and stunning pops of gold. Guests who book a Grand Suite and the adjoining Deluxe French Balcony next door can see their stateroom transformed into an incredibly spacious 2-bedroom suite.
Emilie’s deck plan features interconnecting Grand Suites that adjoin with Deluxe French Balcony next door, staterooms creating an incredibly spacious 2-bedroom suite option. Each of the lavishly appointed and modern riverview staterooms on the S.S. Emilie have custom cotton sateen sheets, European duvets, and a menu of pillow options, individual thermostat air conditioning, Wi-Fi connected flat-screen TVs, and marble bathrooms featuring Asprey bath and body products.
Julie Higgins, who joined the Uniworld family 22 years ago as a cabin stewardess aboard the River Princess and progressed through the ranks to become director of hotel operations, as well as the role of Uniworld’s global Sustainability Officer – now adds ship godmother to her list of job titles.
