G’day Group, Australia’s largest accommodation provider, has acquired the award-winning nature-based tourism destination Habitat Noosa Everglades EcoCamp.

Located within Great Sandy National Park at the gateway to the Noosa Everglades, one of only two everglades on Earth, the 26-hectare property is now one of G’day Group’s most distinctively positioned assets, offering accommodation, hospitality and guided nature experiences in one of Australia’s most renowned coastal destinations.

According to the Caravan Industry Association of Australia and BDO 2026 Global Economic Contribution Report, the property is expected to deliver nearly $40M in annual economic benefit and support over 150 full-time jobs in the Noosa region. The acquisition brings G’day Group’s total portfolio to 97 Discovery Parks and Resorts nationwide.

G’day Group founder and chief executive officer Grant Wilckens said the acquisition strengthened its national footprint and position in premium regional tourism.

“We are pleased to welcome Habitat Noosa to our Discovery Resorts portfolio, bringing our total investment in Queensland to $110M over the last three years,” Wilckens said.

“An exceptional asset, Habitat Noosa hosts more than 65,000 yearly visitors making it a high-demand destination with strong domestic and international market appeal and clear potential for future, long-term growth.

“It is a significant addition to our Discovery Resorts portfolio and reflects our continued focus of investing in regional assets with destination-led tourism experiences.”

The acquisition cements G’day Group’s position in Queensland, marking its second resort alongside Discovery Resorts – Undara and building on its 2025 purchases of Discovery Parks – Lake Tinaroo, Discovery Parks – Bargara and Discovery Parks – Blackwater.

Habitat Noosa features more than 300 accommodation options, including glamping tents, powered and unpowered sites and backpacker cabins. The property also includes a 200-seat bar and bistro with panoramic views of Lake Cootharaba, and an on-site micro-brewery.

The asset includes Everglades Eco Safaris, the sole boat tour operator in the Noosa Everglades, offering guided eco-cruises focused on immersive wildlife and nature experiences. Guests also have access to a complimentary shuttle to and from Noosa Heads.

Noosa was recently named one of the world’s top 10 Most Welcoming Towns on Earth in 2026, the only Australian destination to make the list and comes on the back of an endorsement of a new 10-year Destination Management plan endorsed by Noosa Shire Council ahead of the 2032 Olympics in Brisbane.

The acquisition includes a new 60-year lease from the Queensland Government and approximately five hectares of vacant land, providing future development potential in a region with strong domestic and international demand.

There are no interruptions to existing bookings, with upcoming bookings available via the Discovery Parks website from Wednesday 13 May.
