The Legend of the Seas arrived in Sydney this morning, ahead of her maiden Aussie season in December.
A sneak peek was given to members of the travel trade industry, with the 70,000 tonne ship visiting Australia during her repositioning to Asia.
Legend of the Seas will be Royal Caribbean International’s first ever Queensland based ship and is expected to inject more than $24 million into the Queensland economy during the season.
The pre-season visit is also expected to inject more than $1.5 million with the 14-night cruise departing Sydney and calling at Brisbane, Cairns, Airlie Beach and Darwin in Australia.
Following an extensive $50 million revitalisation in 2013, Legend of the Seas boasts facilities such as the central Atrium where high flying acrobats put on an incredible aerial show, an outdoor rock climbing wall for active travellers to test their skill, a mini golf course and an indoor swimming pool for more leisurely pursuits, as well as a babies nursery.
She also features an exceptional array of culinary offerings with multiple speciality dining venues, including a Sushi restaurant, steakhouse and a 12-seat private dining room. She also features a stunning two-deck grand dining room, an 800-seat theatre, the Vitality Spa & Fitness centre, a beauty salon and a shopping arcade.
Bookings for Legend of the Seas’ first Queensland season are open now, with fares starting from just $599 per person for a three night sampler cruise departing 8 December 2015.
