Gold Coast released the second edition of its Accessible Visitor Guide which includes detailed information on the city’s accessible services and facilities.
Experience Gold Coast and the City of Gold Coast partnered to produce the accessibility guide.
Aside from services and facilities, the guide also contains detailed, independently assessed accessibility information for more than 40 accommodation providers across the city and close to 30 attractions and features accessible events, transport options. The updated edition features 12 new tourism listings and refreshed accessibility assessments plus a dedicated Gold Coast Accessible Events page that includes iconic festivals like Blues on Broadbeach, Cooly Rocks On, and BLEACH Festival.
The guide serves as a key resource for the tourism industry and trade partners supporting accessible visitor enquiries, bookings, and referrals across the region.
“This updated Gold Coast Accessible Visitor Guide makes it even easier for everyone to enjoy our destination offering visitors greater confidence, comfort and independence,” Experience Gold Coast CEO John Warn said. “We are proud of the progress being made across the city to improve accessibility and create more inclusive visitor experiences.”
Tourism Research Australia data shows that accessible tourism continues to represent one of Australia’s fastest-growing visitor markets, with 85.8 million trips taken by travellers into and across Australia with accessible needs in 2025.
The Gold Coast Accessible Visitor Guide is available to download free via the Experience Gold Coast and City of Gold Coast websites.
Conversely, visually impaired travellers to the Gold Coast can also access the Discover Gold Coast Audio Guide featuring over 20 accessible audio tracks covering more than 100 regional attractions, transport networks, and sensory details.
