Golden Eagle Luxury Trains has added four more European departures for 2026 as demand for train travel and unique luxury rail experiences have increased.

From stunning Alpine vistas to legendary Transylvanian castles or the iconic route from Paris to Istanbul, these popular routes are now available to book beginning with the eleven-day Grand Alpine Express departing from Budapest on 1 May.

Also in May, guests can choose the Paris to Istanbul route over eight days, or from Istanbul to Paris. Launched in 2025, the route was recently showcased in a TV documentary and continues to wow travellers, showcasing cultures, cuisines and architectural marvels across six countries. It includes a private tasting at a distinguished family-owned champagne house and a gala dinner onboard. New dates released are for September and October in both directions.

A further date was also added to the seven-day Castles of Transylvania tour now scheduled for May, September and October, departing Istanbul and ending in Budapest. Guests can explore the world of medieval fortresses, fairytale castles and haunting legends in this very special itinerary, including a gala dinner inside the walls of Bran Castle.

“We have seen many departures fully booked well in advance, so we are thrilled to add these new dates,” Australasian BDM Megan Bardsley said. “The expansion allows more travellers the opportunity to book these sought after journeys.”

These and all European tours are onboard the much-loved Golden Eagle Danube Express with the elegant style, service and comfort Golden Eagle Luxury Trains is renowned for. Meals onboard are a true highlight prepared by the team of Chefs, while the bar is the social hub of the train.

With every detail taken care of, guests can slow down, relax and enjoy the ever-changing landscapes. The extraordinary care of the team on this luxury hotel-on-wheels helps ensure the seamless delivery of guests into the heart of European train stations close to major areas of interest.

Golden Eagle Luxury Trains packages are fully inclusive of private ensuite rail accommodation, all exquisite meals and drinks, personal cabin attendant service, fully guided off-train excursions, all gratuities and transfers, plus premium hotels pre and post tour and a UK registered medical doctor on board.
