Grand Hyatt Singapore has completed its extensive multi-year redevelopment which redefines the hotel as a contemporary haven of wellness and meaningful luxury.
With the reopening of the Grand Wing, relocated Grand Club Lounge, and refurbished 10|Scotts, Grand Hyatt Singapore stands poised to set a new benchmark for integrated lifestyle hospitality in the Orchard Road area. To celebrate this transformation, guests can look forward to a series of events featuring reimagined gourmet indulgence, wellness retreats and enhanced World of Hyatt rewards from 18 July to 14 September 2025.
The phased reopening of Terrace Wing in July 2024 introduced a tranquil, nature-inspired retreat that reflects Singapore’s identity as a City in Nature. Now, with the debut of the refreshed Grand Wing and Grand Club, the hotel offers 699 redesigned rooms and suites, seven dining concepts, an extensive wellness hub, and 16 event spaces – making it a one-stop destination for locals and travellers seeking both rejuvenation and inspiration.

The Grand Wing – A fusion of nature and the city
Designed by Tokyo-based studio Strickland, the Grand Wing offers a refined urban experience infused with the vibrancy of Singapore. All 407 rooms, including redesigned Deluxe Rooms, now feature open-plan spaces with warm walnut flooring, Peranakan-inspired accents, and striking Patagonia Stone in the bathrooms. Terracotta orange tones and contemporary geometric patterns reflect the city’s energy while maintaining the serenity of a luxurious stay.
A signature octagonal design motif – echoing the hotel’s architectural heritage – runs through corridors and guestrooms, subtly reflecting its storied past. Thoughtful use of space, including a plush sofa nook, and a spacious dining table create welcoming spaces to relax, work, or share a meal in comfort.
“Our design objective was to create a new future for Grand Hyatt Singapore by paying homage to the nature and traditions of Singapore and carrying on the vibrant history of the hotel,” Strickland founder, Yohei Akao, said. “Every material and detail were selected to create a guest experience that feels elevated, comfortable, and connected to this destination.”
Strickland also reimagined the hotel’s reception and public spaces, where a sculptural centrepiece and carved louvers echo Peranakan motifs, and ceiling fins made of local wood wrap the Grand Lobby with a sense of warmth.
The Grand Club – A space for cultural dialogue
Relocated to the mezzanine level of the Grand Wing, the new Grand Club lounge designed by NAO Taniyama raised the benchmark for residential-style lounges. Inspired by Singapore’s rich multicultural heritage, the space is thoughtfully composed with warm tones, tactile materials, and nuanced local motifs that evoke a sense of familiarity and belonging.
More than a visually striking venue, the Grand Club is a quiet yet meaningful space where guests can unwind, connect, and reflect. Whether over morning coffee or evening cocktails, it fosters moments of cultural exchange through its ambiance, attentive service, and curated local touches – making each visit feel both personal and place-specific.
“The Grand Club is not simply a lounge – it is a dedicated space where memory, modernity, and local culture come together,” NAO Taniyama & Associates founder, Nao Taniyama, said.
Beyond its design, the Grand Club offers elevated privileges for suite and World of Hyatt elite guests, including daily breakfast, all-day refreshments, and a well-loved evening cocktail hour featuring premium pours and a rotating selection of gourmet small plates. Whether for quiet reflection, informal meetings, or unwinding with city views, the lounge offers an experience that is both refined and distinctly local.
Terrace Wing – A tranquil oasis inspired by nature
In contrast, Terrace Wing offers a calming, verdant resort ambience enhanced by landscape architects Grant Associates. Drawing inspiration from the Japanese concept of shinrin-yoku (forest bathing), the wing’s landscaping creates a layered sanctuary where biodiversity, wellbeing, and artistry coexist. Interconnected garden zones are populated with butterfly-attracting nectar plants, koi ponds, and tropical greenery that form a meditative journey through the property.
At the heart of this lush experience is a multi-tiered waterfall, featuring granite reclaimed during the hotel’s transformation. Nearby, curated sculpture trails and play elements invite discovery for families, while elevated lawns host yoga, bootcamps, and wellness programmes. This comprehensive landscape vision not only elevates the guest experience, but actively contributes to Singapore’s biodiversity through expanded pollinator habitats and rainwater-fed ecosystems.
A living commitment to sustainability
A pioneer in sustainable hospitality since 2002, Grand Hyatt Singapore continues to lead with bold innovations. The hotel runs on 100 per cent renewable electricity, operates a closed-loop food waste-to-farm aquaponics system, and has eliminated plastic bottles with its own water bottling plant. Culinary sustainability is deeply embedded across all its restaurants, with practices such as zero-waste cooking and carbon tracking for individual dishes. Over 80 per cent of organic vegetables are sourced from Cameron Highlands and local farms, including Spore Gardens and Plauts. Additionally, 55 per cent of the seafood served is certified sustainable, and more than 30 per cent of the herbs used in the kitchens are freshly harvested from the hotel’s rooftop garden.
Sustainability is deeply ingrained in the interior design through the adaptive reuse of artworks and high-durability materials intended to stand the test of time. Throughout the multi-year transformation, no effort was spared to ensure responsible upcycling of materials from the original design and introduction of eco-conscious technologies.

Upholding its acclaim as one of Singapore’s most beloved social hubs, seven distinctive dining experiences continue to delight discerning palates. With the reopening of 10|Scotts on 3 July 2025, diners can embark on a gastronomic journey rooted in culture and craftsmanship, such as Singapore’s most-loved halal buffet at StraitsKitchen featuring signature dishes from across Southeast Asia, to hearty Italian classics at Pete’s Place, and Oasis, a lifestyle destination by the pool.
Guests can also look forward to contemporary Italian cuisine at Le Pristine Singapore by Michelin-starred Chef Sergio Herman, as well as the ever-popular afternoon tea at 10|Scotts, now refreshed with elegant interiors and an elevated menu – ideal for both corporate and leisure occasions.
