Hawai’i Tourism Oceania (HTO) has wrapped its largest-ever Month of Lei roadshow, touring Auckland, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney from 4 to 8 May 2026. The five-city run also marked the regional launch of Hawai’i’s new global marketing campaign, Hawai’i Stays With You, which speaks to the lasting impression the islands leave on travellers long after they return home.

More than 400 travel advisors attended across the four cities, with events designed to celebrate Hawaiian culture and hospitality through the lens of Lei Day – the islands’ annual spring celebration of the lei as a symbol of aloha.

Three Hawaiian Island Visitor Bureaus were represented in person: Karishma Chowfin for O’ahu, Brent Lausterer for Maui and Maile Brown for Kaua’i. Each delivered presentations bringing their island’s distinct character to life. The Island of Hawai’i was represented through destination presentations and training sessions despite no in-person delegate being available.

Advisors received updates on new accommodation, experiences and travel trends across the archipelago, with the sessions aimed at deepening destination knowledge and driving future bookings from Australian and New Zealand travellers.

Those who couldn’t attend in person can access the 2026 Hawai’i Showcase webinar (52 min), which covers destination updates and insights from across the islands.

The roadshow also featured a prize pool from participating partners, with attendees taking home accommodation stays, island experiences and flights.
