A lucky dozen Helloworld travel advisors have spent time in Thailand as guests of Club Med Phuket, in part of a partnership with Thai Airways, following the completion of extensive renovations at the resort.

Representing Helloworld-branded and Helloworld associate stores across Sydney, Melbourne and Perth, the advisors were invited to experience Club Med’s refreshed brand positioning firsthand, as well as how Club Med and Thai Airways enable seamless travel itineraries including a Bangkok stopover when travelling to Phuket.

The group included both first-time Club Med visitors and agents whose only previous exposure to the brand was through its former Australian resort on Lindeman Island, providing an opportunity to highlight the significant evolution of the Club Med experience.

Travelling with Thai Airways via Bangkok, advisors experienced the airline’s warm onboard service and authentic Thai hospitality, setting the tone for a seamless journey from departure to destination before arriving at Club Med Phuket.

Across four days, attendees enjoyed a blend of brand education, resort experiences and leisure time, enabling them to develop a deeper understanding of both the Club Med brand, its renovated Phuket property and the destination.

Throughout their stay, agents were able to experience the ease and convenience of Club Med’s seamless all-inclusive model, with accommodation, gourmet dining, an open bar, activities and entertainment all included in the experience. Advisors were encouraged to explore the resort at their own pace, participate in signature activities including a pickleball challenge, and immerse themselves in the vibrant atmosphere that has made Club Med Phuket one of Thailand’s most iconic holiday destinations.

“Thailand continues to be one of our strongest-performing destinations, with new guest numbers for 2026 increasing by 29 per cent year-on-year, demonstrating the growing demand for premium, seamless holidays closer to home,” Club Med Pacific and New ESAP Markets general manager Michelle Davies said. “As Australians continue to seek escapes that combine relaxation, culture and value, Thailand remains an incredibly appealing choice.

“We were delighted to welcome our valued travel agent partners, alongside Thai Airways, to Club Med Phuket to experience our new upscale positioning and the resort’s recent transformation.

“Following extensive renovations, guests can now enjoy upgraded accommodation options, redesigned dining spaces, an enhanced pool precinct and the brand-new Family Oasis, further strengthening Club Med Phuket’s position as the pioneer of premium all-inclusive holidays. The famil equipped agents with the knowledge, confidence and tools needed to effectively showcase Club Med Phuket and inspire more Australians to choose Thailand for their next holiday.

“Partnering with Thai Airways provided the perfect opportunity to showcase the breadth of experiences available across both Phuket and Bangkok. With Thai Airways’ extensive network and convenient connections, travellers can seamlessly combine multiple destinations within a single itinerary, encouraging them to venture beyond the resort and discover Thailand’s rich culture, natural beauty and diverse experiences.

To showcase the destination beyond the resort, attendees also explored Phuket’s local culture and attractions. Highlights included an evening visit to Patong Beach and Simon Cabaret, providing valuable insight into the diverse experiences available to travellers.

And on to Bangkok

From Phuket, agents travelled to Bangkok with Thai Airways, showcasing how seamlessly travellers can extend their Thailand holiday beyond a single destination with just a one-hour flight.

Upon arrival, agents checked into Amari Bangkok, where they enjoyed a hotel site inspection and experienced the property’s premium accommodation, facilities and central location. The group also toured Centara Grand at CentralWorld, before enjoying sunset drinks at the hotel’s renowned Red Sky rooftop bar, offering panoramic views across the city skyline. Positioned in the heart of Bangkok, the hotels provided an ideal base from which to explore the city’s vibrant culture, dining scene and world-class shopping precincts.

The remainder of the stay was spent experiencing Bangkok at leisure, with agents taking advantage of the city’s renowned shopping and wellness offerings, including visits to the iconic MBK Center and traditional Thai massage experiences. Together, the stopover demonstrated how easily Bangkok can be incorporated into a broader Thailand itinerary, providing travellers with the opportunity to combine a beach escape with the energy, culture and experiences of the country’s capital.

“Following the recent announcement of Club Med’s future resort in Koh Samui, set to open in 2028, we look forward to building on this partnership and continuing our shared success in inspiring more Australians to explore Thailand,” Davis said.

The group included both first-time visitors and those whose previous experience was Club Med Lindeman Island.

Amanda Wildie, Commercial Sales for Thai Airways said the carrier was delighted to partner with Club Med in hosting valued travel agency partners, giving them the opportunity to experience the very best of Thailand, Club Med, and Thai Airways firsthand.

“We look forward to strengthening our collaboration in the years ahead and are especially excited by the announcement of the new Club Med Koh Samui resort, set to open in 2028,” she said.
