Guys, get ready to witness the make-over of a lifetime.

Daydream Island Resort will be reopening its doors in September, after a huge $100 million redevelopment.

Please excuse us while we spend the rest of the morning daydreaming about the make-over we could give our lives with $100 million.

The upgrade brings the resort up to a 4.5-star rating offering 290 refurbished modern rooms and suites with the choice of interconnecting rooms for families and special access rooms.

There will be an extra food and drink offering with three restaurants and five bars across the island, giving guests plenty of options for every taste.

An Executive Chef for the island will be announced in the coming months and will be adding an exciting Asian Fusion restaurant to the collection of dining venues to sit alongside the buffet and modern Australian Restaurants.

The island will offer a breathtaking new ‘pool landscape’ allowing guests to swim and enjoy three separate pools with unparalleled views across the Whitsunday’s Great Barrier Reef.

And of course, no ‘pool landscape’ would be complete without a poolside bar and a new burger concept restaurant all below an integrated shade pergola.

You, know, just in case you feel like having a quick burger as you sip your poolside cocktails.

The Kid’s Club will offer a range of activities to keep the little ones busy while you make the most of the exclusive adult’s only areas, which cater to those in search of a sanctuary.

If you feel like learning something about your surroundings, the Living Reef will also be making its return to the island in an even bigger and better capacity than before, further developing its education and eco-friendly focus.

Guests will be able to join the team of marine biologists who live on the island and feed baby stingrays who live amongst over 100 species of marine fish, coral and invertebrates such as starfish, sea cucumbers and crabs.

Daydream Island Resort’s event space will cater major events, yet still, provide a personal touch.

Guests visiting the island for conferences will have access to the latest technology audiovisual equipment across three dedicated conference rooms.

Special events from cocktail parties to gala dinners can be catered for across a large range of indoor and outdoor event locations, with weddings continuing to play a large part in the story of Daydream Island Resort.

“The reopening of Daydream Island is a huge milestone after the devastation caused by Cyclone Debbie. It will have been an 18-month journey and we are excited to welcome our loyal regulars and new guests to the island to experience the new premium offering.” Director of Sales & Marketing, Jayson Heron said.

Daydream Island Resort will have their soft opening from 29 September 2018 with all resort facilities operational by 1 November 2018
