Small-ship expedition specialist Heritage Expeditions has released two new voyages exploring rarely visited destinations in both Micronesia and the Kimberley as part of its First Wave 2027-28 Season Sale aboard 140-guest flagship Heritage Adventurer.

The family-owned and operated cruise company’s commercial director and expedition leader, Aaron Russ, said the new voyages, Micronesia’s Atolls & Islands Odyssey and Kimberley Adventure Cruise, added exciting elements of the unknown and adventure to the release of the first nine voyages of their 2027-28 season.

“Heritage Expeditions has a long history and connection exploring and supporting the remote communities and tropical islands and atolls of Micronesia and the Solomon Islands, but this might be our most explorative voyage here yet,” he said.

“Micronesia’s Atolls & Islands Odyssey has been specifically designed for intrepid adventurers and travel trailblazers weaving UNESCO World Biosphere Reserves and community driven-conservation initiatives with ancient cities and customs, WWII history and the region’s famed Navigators as we explore some of the world’s most isolated atolls and islands including Ontong Java, Nukuoro, Pohnpei, Sorol and Ngulu Atolls, iconic Chuuk (Truk) Lagoon and more.”

“This is real adventure travel,” Russ said.

Similarly, the industry-leading expedition cruise company has added several rarely visited and lesser-known Kimberley locations to the roll call of the region’s highlights, including Osborn and Boongaree Islands, and Lucifer’s Labyrinth.

“We are excited to explore some of the lesser-known waters on our new Kimberley Adventure Cruise voyage and introduce a new expedition experience to this incredible part of the world,” he said.

Heritage Expeditions First Wave 2027-28 Season Launch Sale, which also sees its popular, optional birding programmes added to its Indonesian Explorer and Asian Island Odyssey voyages, starts today, offering guests and agents savings up to 20% off the first nine voyages of the season on bookings made by 27 February 2026.
