Hilton has appointed Morgan Meredith as general manager of The Imperial Gold Coast, marking an important milestone in the property’s transformation ahead of its debut as Australia’s first LXR Hotels & Resorts property in 2027.

Meredith brings more than 15 years of luxury hospitality experience across Australia and Asia. Most recently, she worked as hotel manager of Keraton at The Plaza in Jakarta where she led the property through a complex renovation, repositioning and reopening.

Meredith’s international experience spans luxury hotel operations across Australia and Asia, where she has developed a reputation for landmark pre-openings, operational excellence and strong owner alignment.

Earlier in her career, Meredith held senior front office roles with Hilton Sydney, making her return to Hilton especially meaningful. She has also contributed to the industry as a Young Tourism Leader for Tourism Queensland.

“Returning to the Gold Coast to lead The Imperial into its next chapter is an incredible privilege,” Meredith said.

“I look forward to working with Hilton, our owners and the hotel team to shape an experience that honours the property’s heritage while celebrating the essence of its remarkable location.”

Hilton South East Queensland cluster general manager Fiona Pryde said that the appointment marks an important milestone in bringing the vision for The Imperial Gold Coast to life.

“Her experience leading luxury hotels through complex renovation and repositioning projects, combined with her deep understanding of the local market, makes her exceptionally well placed to guide the property through this exciting transformation,” Pryde said.

“As we prepare to introduce LXR Hotels & Resorts to Australasia, Morgan will play a pivotal role in shaping a highly personalised luxury experience that reflects the individuality of the destination and the exceptional service for which the brand is known.”
