Hilton Australasia has appointed Stephanie Lopesi as its new regional head of human resources.

A seasoned HR leader with more than 15 years of experience, Lopesi has driven transformative people strategies across some of the world’s largest hospitality groups.

She joins Hilton with an impressive track record and was recently also named Human Resources Associate of the Year at the 2025 HM Awards, recognising her excellence in people leadership.

“I am excited to be joining Hilton, a brand globally recognised for its investment in team members and their development, both professionally and personally,” Lopesi said. “As Hilton continues its expansion, the strength of its culture is more important than ever, and I am committed to upholding this standard and ensuring that our people and performance continue to thrive in unison.”

A passionate advocate for workplace equality, accessibility and representation, Stephanie will play a critical leadership role in deepening Hilton’s culture of inclusion and belonging across Australasia. Hilton said it reinforces the company’s ongoing commitment to cultivating an exceptional workplace culture following its recognition as the #1 World’s Best Workplace for 2025.

“Stephanie is an outstanding addition to our leadership team,” Hilton area vice president & head of Australasia Paul Hutton said.

“Her authenticity, strategic mindset and deep care for people make her a natural cultural leader. As we continue to grow our footprint and invest in career pathways for our team members, Stephanie will help ensure Hilton remains a place where people feel supported, valued and inspired to achieve their best.”

Lopesi’s appointment comes at a time of strong growth and momentum for Hilton. Across Australasia, Hilton now operates 47 hotels across six brands, supported by a pipeline of 11 projects currently under planning or construction. This includes several highly anticipated openings on the horizon, including Hilton Garden Inn Suva, Hilton Palm Cove Cairns Resort & Spa, DoubleTree by Hilton Auckland Albert Street, and Waldorf Astoria Sydney.

Recognised among the Great Places to Work in Australia for more than a decade and honoured as the #1 World’s Best Workplace for 2025, Hilton continues to set the benchmark for how the hospitality industry attracts, develops and supports its people while driving sustainable growth across the region.
