Is hospitality and a swell ol’ cultural time high on your clients’ travel list? A tour of the Caucasus could be a surprise pick for a delightful dose of warm Central Asian society.

With four spellbinding countries straddled between the Caspian and Black Seas, the Caucasus are reportedly home to some of the most hospitable people in the world – alongside stunning scenery and breathtaking architecture to boot.

Composed of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Russia, the Caucasus are situated in a unique region, both modern and cosmopolitan, as well as historic and rural; and a tour with Sundowners Overland to the region combines the best of both of these worlds – with no short supply of toasts to good health from the locals along the way.

What’s more, during the popular 12-day Highlights of the Caucasus tour, your clients will get a fun-sized dose of Georgia and Armenia, as part of an itinerary includes no short supply of great food and wine, incredible UNESCO heritage sites and stunning scenery – the perfect mix for a journey of discovery.

On the Highlights of the Caucasus tour, your clients will begin their journey in Georgia’s capital city Tbilisi, for a day of exploration highlighted by visits to Old Town, Sioni and the Metekhi Churches.

From here, the trip moves to Kakheti, where your clients will have the opportunity to visit a traditional winemaker to learn about the traditions of Georgian viticulture, whose methods of production are enshrined by UNESCO. It is believed that wine-making began here some 8,000 years ago.
