More than 170 hospitality professionals converged on the Gold Coast this week to share key insights and best practices at the annual Australian Timeshare and Holiday Ownership Council (ATHOC) Conference.

The conference, which culminated in the annual ATHOC awards night, included a program of panels and keynote speakers featuring industry leaders from around the globe at Mantra Legends Hotel on 9 and 10 September.

Attendees included two of Wyndham Destinations’ executive team members, Wyndham Vacation Clubs’ president and managing director Barry Robinson, and RCI Exchanges president Olivier Chavy (pictured).

Delivering a keynote address to delegates, Chavy flew in from the company’s headquarters in Orlando to provide a global perspective on where he sees the future of the industry, as well as his key observations six months into his new role.

Speakers also included leaders from Wyndham Destinations Asia Pacific, DAE, Accor Vacation Club, Marriott Vacation Club and Classic Holidays.

Conference sessions explored trending topics such as customer experience, consumer protection, talent attraction and retention, and cybercrime.
