Ovolo and InterContinental (IHG) have rolled out some special offers for the VIPs in your life to celebrate International Dog Day.

That’s Very Important Pooch – not person.

Arguably the most important day of the year, International Dog Day lands on 26 August (that’s today!) to celebrate all our fuzzy little life partners and these two hotel chains are getting onboard.

Ovolo is cutting the additional cost ($80) from its VIPooch package for up to two pooches across its hotels in Australia and Hong Kong for today only on bookings up until 31 December.

The package includes a comfortable doggy bed where your pooch can snuggle and relax as they deserve, an eating/drinking mat so they can feast in style without the hassle of cleaning that post-meal mess, a doggy goody bag packed full of specially designed dog toys and treats, and dog-friendly staff ready to provide guests with any assistance needed.

IHG is also extending its hospitality to four-legged guests at some of its bars and restaurants across Australia from today until the end of September.

From luxurious High Tea for two at InterContinental Sydney Double Bay to Pizzas & Paws at voco Kirkton Park and Puppy Hour at Holiday Inn Sydney Airport, the all-new experiences will roll out in honour of all our special little puppers.

For one day only, Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley will up the ante with its ‘5-course dogustation’ in partnership with Gourmet Dog Barkery.

The specially-curated dogustation is tailored for both small and large dogs and includes a tasting menu with chicken pupcakes, doggy doughnuts, watermelon coconut treats and more.
