How Entire Travel Group bettered itself after agent feedback

Entire Travel Group wowed and wooed agents and suppliers at it three-day ‘travel showcase and soirée’ across Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney last week where over $50,000 worth of prizes were given away.

Speaking to media on the third and final day in Sydney, Entire’s sales and marketing director, Greg McCallum, and its managing director, Brad McDonnell, outlined how the wholesaler is better connecting with agents via this event.

After surveying hundreds of agents, the pair knew an annual soirée was necessary to showcasing the immense array of offerings available through Entire. With 600 agents and 37 suppliers attending across the three events, attendees got to enjoy the “work-hard play-hard” lifestyle that Entire and the broader industry knows so well.

“Our goal is to create a platform for us, our partners and the agents to get together this time of year,” McDonnell said.

“The overwhelming feedback we’ve had from the agents is for it to be an annual event. They’ve loved it and our partners are really happy with a lot of the engagement they’ve had.”

Taking the spotlight for Entire is its new agent portal that’s been expertly crafted after sitting down with agents to discover what’s right for them.

The agent portal has over 500 customisable packages with optional extras and freedom of choice days that can enable thousands of permutations. Alongside this, the 24/7 real-time pricing and the ability to add or subtract their own service fee Entire allows means agents can better cater to their clients, particularly for those that work from home.

“I think after COVID, the trade were looking to the supply sector to deliver more flexibility and this is a big part of that,” McDonnell said.

“We are a business that listens and we have never been more easy to work with.”

McCallum added that the Entire team wants “travel agents to look like rockstars in front of their clients.”

He added: “We’re the conduit between the two. We provide the expertise because agents can’t know about the whole world.”

And this connection is only becoming more and more enhanced, with the average sizes of bookings made with Entire tripling since pre-COVID.

McDonnell said this is due to “a combination of the product type that we’re doing; pushing the right product is part of that story, branching into new destinations [and] also us doing a transfer.”

Another takeaway from its agent surveys was the love of brochures that agents have, which came as a shock to McDonnell who thought his company would never print another brochure again after exiting COVID.

But the wholesaler has an array showcasing its three group, cruise and rail verticals, alongside an 180-page Europe brochure, all contributing towards making Entire “the most efficient and easiest to work with we’ve ever been,” as McDonnell said.
