Bleisure travel is no longer a niche concept. Extending a work trip to squeeze in some personal time has become a natural move for professionals across the globe, and Melbourne-based business travellers are no different.

For those flying out to attend conferences, client meetings or industry events, whether that’s interstate or overseas, getting to the terminal is part of the planning. Melbourne Airport‘s Premium Car Parks make that first step straightforward, and for bleisure travellers who need everything to run on time, that matters.

Why are bleisure travellers choosing Premium Car Parks?

Bleisure travellers tend to move quickly and carry more than the average passenger, sometimes including sporting or leisure gear on top of work essentials. The Premium Car Parks address those practical needs from the moment they pull in.

Here’s why these travellers choose this onsite parking option:

  • Closest self-parking bays to the terminals
  • Prime undercover parking spots
  • Around-the-clock access, seven days a week
  • Available to book online in advance

Self-parking option within walking distance to the terminals

The Premium Car Parks are available in two locations: on Level 1 of both the T123 Car Park and the T4 Car Park, making them the closest self-parking options to the terminals. The T123 Premium Car Park connects directly to Terminals 1, 2 and 3 via a covered link bridge, serving Qantas, Virgin Australia and all international flights. The T4 Premium Car Park is just 100 metres from Terminal 4, which handles Jetstar, Rex, and Link Airways flights, and is also well-suited for Virgin Australia flights from Terminal 3.

Whichever terminal the flight departs from, the walk from the Premium Car Park is short. For Melbourne professionals catching an early flight before a full day of meetings, or heading off on a post-conference extension through regional Victoria or beyond, that proximity means less time navigating the airport and more time focused on the trip ahead.

Undercover parking in prime spots

Melbourne’s weather is famously unpredictable, and leaving your car exposed for the duration of a trip is a gamble you do not need to take. The Premium Car Parks offer undercover bays at both the T123 and T4 Car Park locations, in prime spots closest to the terminal entrances.

For bleisure travellers who may be gone for several days, or longer if the leisure portion of the trip stretches out, undercover parking adds a layer of reassurance that lets them focus on the journey ahead.

Access for early morning and late night flights

Bleisure itineraries rarely follow a nine-to-five schedule. Whether it’s a 5 AM departure to make a morning conference interstate or a late-night flight out, the Premium Car Parks accommodate all of it with 24-hour access.

There are no time restrictions to work around. This matters when your travel schedule is dictated by meeting times and flight availability rather than personal convenience.

Flexible parking that can be pre-booked in advance

Online bookings for the Premium Car Parks can be made up to 12 months in advance and as late as two hours before arrival at the airport, with online rates lower than drive-up rates. All bookings made online also come with a one-hour grace period on either side of booked times for short stays, or two hours on either side for stays longer than four hours.

The built-in booking flexibility suits bleisure travel well. Online bookings can be managed and updated by logging in and clicking on the My Booking link. Those yet to arrive at the airport can update their entry time up to two hours before pulling in, while those already parked and away on their trip can extend their stay online before their scheduled exit, handy when the leisure leg runs longer than expected.

Fly out of Melbourne ready for whatever comes next

Bleisure travel works best when the logistics do not get in the way. For Melbourne-based professionals flying out for work with leisure plans on the horizon, Melbourne Airport’s Premium Car Parks offer a parking experience that keeps the focus on the trip itself.

Head to Melbourne Airport’s Parking & Transport page to book parking in advance, lock in the best rates and have one less thing to think about on travel day.
