For most it is the dream job, travelling the world as a professional Instagrammer, and now you have the chance to do just that.

Travel insurance provider, Travel Insurance Direct have teamed up with Australia’s first professional Instragrammer, Lauren Bath and Olympus Cameras in an initiative to give someone the chance to partake in a mentorship programme, learning how to make a living from their Instagram posts.

Lauren Bath hung up her chef’s whites just over three years ago and went on to become a professional Instagrammer and travel influencer that now has over 150 campaigns under her belt, which have taken her to Ireland, Jordan, Zimbabwe, Switzerland and the US to name but a few.

Now she is taking on a mentee to show them the ropes of monetising their Instagram posts, whilst travelling to the world’s most beautiful locations at the same time.

Called Just a TID Travel Obsessed, the competition invites amateur travel photographers from all over Australia to share their travel ‘Pinch Me Moment’ via Instagram, to be entered in to a competition with the chance of winning the chance to partake in the programme, which is a money-can’t-buy prize.

“’Pinch Me Moments’ can’t be found and you can’t look for them. They have to be experienced and they always take you by surprise,” Bath said.

“A ‘Pinch Me Moment’ is a very tangible moment in time when everything seems to stand still, and I have a moment of clarity in my mind that tells me I’m doing something very special. I’d love for all the travel-obsessed Instagrammers in Australia to share their ‘Pinch Me Moments’ with us.”

The grand prize is a mentorship weekend with Lauren Bath, during a weekend stay on the Gold Coast at the über cool QT Hotel.  As well as this personalised glimpse into the world of the country’s first professional Instagrammer, the winner gets an Olympus OMD Camera and a $250 Travel Insurance Direct money card.

Travel Safety Expert at Travel Insurance Direct, Phil Sylvester, said “as a company, it is our aim to inspire people to travel and see the world – but keep them safe whilst they do it – so collaborating with Lauren, who also does so much to inspire intrepid exploring herself is a match made in heaven”.

To enter, entrants must read these Term and Conditions and complete all of the following during the Competition Period.

  1. Register on the TID website http://www.travelinsurancedirect.com.au/instagram-obsessed
  2. Upload an original Instagram photo or select a pre-loaded original Instagram photo from their album.
  3. In the photo’s comment section, tag #justaTID
