While Aussies are unable to travel at the moment, it doesn’t mean your clients can’t dream about future holiday adventures, and they’ll find plenty in Western Australia.

Australia’s largest state (a third of the whole country), WA is home to countless holiday experiences, including some found nowhere else in the world.

Thanks to technology and the entrepreneurship of the tourism and hospitality industries in WA, there are now many nature, wildlife, food and drink, and cultural experiences that Aussies can sample from the comfort of their living room.

Your clients can take a virtual swim with the ocean’s gentle giant, the mighty whale shark at Ningaloo Reef, by checking out the 360/VR footage on Tourism WA’s YouTube channel.

They can meet some of the state’s greatest storytellers as part of Postcards from our Backyard – an initiative of the Western Australian Indigenous Tourism Operators Council (WAITOC).

Or, they can enjoy the state’s great outdoors – indoors – by experiencing a live Broome sunset or the magical Staircase to the Moon natural phenomena thanks to tour operator So Broome.

Loads more virtual and online experiences from across Western Australia can be found on Facebook, Instagram and Tourism WA’s brand-new virtual hub, which goes live this Thursday.

The state also realises that, in order to bounce back from the bushfires and the COVID-19 pandemic, and return to record visitor numbers achieved at the end of last year, strong partnerships and relationships will be critical.

“When we come to the other side, we look forward to continuing to work together to showcase Western Australia to the world,” Tourism WA managing director Brodie Carr said in a recent video message to trade partners.
