Hurley Hotel Group has opened the $60M Hotel Panorama, marking the largest investment in the family business’ history and delivering economic benefits to South Australia’s hospitality and tourism sector.
The five-storey development has created more than 150 ongoing hospitality and tourism roles across food and beverage, accommodation, gaming, events and management. Many of these roles have been filled locally, reinforcing the group’s continued investment in South Australian jobs and skills development.
“Hotel Panorama represents the most significant hospitality investment by the Hurley Hotel Group, and one of the most significant seen in Adelaide in recent times,” Hotel Panorama general manager Scott Oakley said. “We are proud to have created a transformative destination designed to set a new benchmark for Adelaide.”
Designed as a full-service hospitality destination, Hotel Panorama brings together accommodation, dining, entertainment and events under one roof.
The ground floor offers a diverse mix of hospitality experiences, including a casual cafe bar and restaurant with seating for 90 guests, centred around a sunken fire lounge, alongside Sideline, a sports bar and outdoor beer garden anchored by a seven-metre screen designed for major sporting events.
At the top of the hotel, rooftop bar Wonderland delivers sweeping views across the coastline, city skyline and Adelaide Hills. The space has been designed to offer a distinctive experience, featuring a gold disco ball pizza oven, twinkling ceiling lighting and booth seating, creating a vibrant destination for both locals and visitors.
Hotel Panorama also introduces a significant expansion of function and event capacity to the area, with multiple purpose-built spaces designed for flexibility. The Three Brothers Boardroom, named in honour of owner Peter Hurley’s three great uncles who lost their lives in World War I, provides a dedicated space for private dining and meetings.
On the top floor, the Springbank and Kingston function rooms can each host up to 70 seated guests or be combined to accommodate up to 300 guests cocktail-style.
Accommodation
The hotel also features 77 rooms across three levels, including 26 serviced apartments and two premium Panorama Suites, complete with a private balcony, fireplace and soaking tub. Guests also have access to a gym, laundry facilities and in-room amenities designed for both short and extended stays.
All rooms feature premium bedding, modern amenities and an on-site gym. Select suites include kitchenettes, baths and private balconies, offering guests additional space to relax and unwind.
“Our rooms and suites have been designed to feel warm, modern and genuinely comfortable,” Oakley added. “Whether you’re staying one night or an extended stay, they support corporate travellers, conferences and group bookings, as well as those who would like a local staycation.”
The accommodation includes a diverse range of room types to suit different guest needs:
- Classic King – a stylish king-bedroom with lounge seating
- Classic Twin – two queen beds, ideal for families or groups
- Deluxe Studio – a spacious studio with kitchenette, soaking tub and L-shaped lounge
- Classic Family – a queen bed plus bunk bed for family stays
- King Studio – a self-contained studio with kitchenette
- Luxury Suite – a premium suite with soaking tub, robes and private balcony

Designed with business in mind, Hotel Panorama also offers flexible meeting and function spaces, with group booking capability and convenient access to major transport routes which will enable guests to stay, meet and connect all in one place.
“Hotel Panorama represents the most significant hospitality investment by the Hurley Hotel Group and one of the most significant seen in Adelaide in recent times, we are proud to have created a transformative destination designed to set a new benchmark for Adelaide,” Oakley concluded.
Hotel Panorama
The project represents a collaboration between two South Australian family businesses, with Hotel Panorama developed by Hurley Hotel Group and constructed by Sarah Constructions, reflecting strong confidence in the growth of Adelaide’s southern suburbs.
“The Hotel Panorama is the largest investment in our family business to date, and we are incredibly proud to open the doors,” Hurley Hotel Group publican Peter Hurley said. “This project is about more than just a new hotel, it’s about creating jobs, supporting the local economy and delivering a venue that brings people together.”
Strategically located on Goodwood Road, Hotel Panorama is positioned to support visitation linked to nearby institutions including Flinders University, Tonsley Innovation Precinct, Flinders Medical Centre, the Repat Health Precinct and the South Australian Aquatic and Leisure Centre.
With a combination of accommodation, dining, entertainment and events, Hotel Panorama is expected to drive increased visitation, support local employment and further strengthen the hospitality offering in Adelaide’s southern suburbs.
