Hurtigruten is expanding its Asia Pacific team in response to growing demand for its voyages and touring portfolio.
Cam McDonell has been appointed as national sales manager, overseeing Queensland, New Zealand and specialised online travel partners, while Amelia Temby has stepped into a newly created role as group sales & inside sales executive.
McDonell joins Hurtigruten with 14 years of experience across adventure travel and cruising. He most recently served as senior account manager at National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions.
He was recognised in 2015 with the AFTA NTIA Rookie of the Year Award and was a finalist for Sales Executive of the Year in 2024.
McDonell was also acknowledged in the NTIA National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions Sustainability Award in the same year.
In his new role, McDonell will support Hurtigruten’s key partners, working with leadership teams and front-line advisors to sell 130-year heritage of Hurtigruten’s Norwegian coastal voyages, touring and Svalbard Expeditions.
Following two and a half years working as part of Hurtigruten’s reservations team, Temby has progressed to a newly created sales role. She has more than five years of solid travel industry experience as a Flight Centre Travel Consultant.
