HX Expeditions has introduced new premium benefits for its Antarctica Suite guests this season with an exclusive pre-expedition experience at the Arakur Resort & Spa.
Set high in the Cerro Alarken Nature Reserve, Arakur overlooks Ushuaia and the Beagle Channel, offering stylish interiors, panoramic views, and a calm sense of arrival before our guests venture south. On arrival in Ushuaia, suite guests are greeted by the welcoming team who arrange their transfer to the resort. Their main luggage will be transported directly to the pier for embarkation, so they only need their personal items for the day, allowing them to relax completely into the experience.
At Arakur, guests are welcomed with a gourmet lunch before having time to unwind in the spa, take a swim in the indoor and outdoor pools, or simply enjoy the surrounding Patagonian landscape. The remote check-in process means everything is handled behind the scenes while they enjoy the resort, making their transition from land to ship as smooth and effortless as possible.
Spa treatments and massages can also be arranged directly with the hotel, subject to availability. This premium pre-cruise experience is designed to help our suite guests begin their Antarctic journey rested, relaxed, and fully immersed in the natural beauty of Patagonia.

- This activity is only for suite guests and is included in their package.
- Duration: Approx. 5 hours (depending on charter flight arrival and ship departure times).
- Upon arrival in Ushuaia, staff assist with suite guests’ luggage, followed by a 20-minute transfer to Arakur.
- Check-in occurs at the Arakur Hotel instead of onboard luggage transfers are arranged from Arakur to their suite onboard.
