International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney) has appointed Jack Weatherby-Fell as venue manager of The Cutaway.
Weatherby-Fell brings more than a decade of experience across Australia’s leading convention, exhibition and entertainment venues.
His most recent role was as head of events at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, where he led the planning of large scale event operations and delivered high profile exhibitions, conferences and corporate events.
His earlier tenure at ICC Sydney saw him deliver hundreds of major events including SXSW Sydney, AWS Summit, Sydney International Boat Show, Fine Food Australia, Mind Body Spirit Festival, Salesforce World Tour, Indo Pacific International Maritime Exposition and the FIFA Women’s World Cup Convention.
As venue manager, Weatherby-Fell will oversee daily operations and client experiences at The Cutaway.
Supported by ICC Sydney’s general manager – operations Lynell Peck and recently appointed AV Manager, The Cutaway, Ricky Joseph he will play a key role in realising the venue’s potential.
ICC Sydney chief executive officer Adam Mather-Brown said that the appointment marked an exciting new chapter for The Cutaway.
“With Lynell Peck’s support, Jack’s leadership, experience and commitment to excellence will help us realise the venue’s mission to make a difference,” he said.

Wetherby-Fell said that it was an honour to step into the role at such a remarkable venue.

The Cutaway
Located beneath Barangaroo Reserve, The Cutaway hosts a diverse calendar of events including Sydney Festival, the National Indigenous Art Fair, Blak Markets and NAIDOC events, alongside a host of corporate launches, exhibitions, festivals, theatre performances and fashion shows.
